LGBTQ+ people who have fled their country due to war or armed conflict, persecution, violence, natural disasters, or other forms of conflict and are living in refugee contexts. This term is used in a sociological sense and does not require formal refugee status. For people in the process of seeking asylum, use LGBTQ+ asylum seekers.
